Note the following rules for claiming a match :
All players should make every effort to arrange matches well in advance of the end of the month. It is expected that players mutually agree on a Match Claimed outcome. However, if the players cannot agree then the following rules apply
1) If any player has made at least two offers of court times to another player, and the opponent has made no attempt to offer alternatives and has at least 7 days in which to do so, the first player may inform the second player that they are claiming the match.
2) A player can claim a match where their opponent hasn’t shown up for a game and didn’t inform the player that they will be a ‘no show’.
3) If a player has to cancel an arranged match then they must inform their opponent at least 2 days beforehand, otherwise the opponent can claim the match if they wish.
4) If a player cancels an arranged match within the last week of the month then the opponent is entitled to claim the match.
5) Any disputes regarding Match Claiming should be referred to the committee whose decision is final |
